Resins
Fire retardant isophthalic polyester and vinyl esters are available, depending on severity of the application's needs.

Colors
The standard colors available are safety yellow and gray (polyester), and beige (vinyl ester). Custom colors are available upon request.

Enduro GrateWay™
Handrail Guide Specification

1.0 Scope
1.1 This specification covers the requirements for Enduro Composite System's non-metallic handrail system.

2.0 Standards
2.1 The handrail assembly shall consist of 2" square tubing for the top, intermediate rails, and posts; and fittings consisting of, tees, crosses, and fixed or adjustable ELLs.

2.2 All handrail components shall have a flame spread rating of 25 or less, and the smoke developed shall have a density of 450 or less when tested in accordance with the provisions of ASTM E84.

2.3 All top rails, intermediate rails, and posts shall have a polyester surface veil in addition to a UV inhibitor in the resin system to protect against degradation from ultra-violet light.

3.0 Materials
3.1 All top rails, intermediate rails and posts shall be manufactured by the pultrusion process, and contain a minimum of 50% glass by weight, They shall be 2" square x 1/4" wall tubing with a 3/8" radius on external corners.

3.2 All fittings shall be compression molded with a minimum glass content of 25% by weight, and an external radius to match the 2" square tubing.

3.3 The handrail assembly shall be capable of withstanding the load requirements of OSHA with a minimum safety factor of 10.
