Fire retardant isophthalic polyester and vinyl esters are available, depending on severity of the application's needs.
Colors
The standard colors available are safety yellow and gray (polyester),
and beige (vinyl ester). Custom colors are available upon request.
Standard Panels
GrateWay™ is available in the following standard sizes:
3' x 10' (1m x 3m) & 3' x 20' (1m x 6m).
Custom Panels
GrateWay™ custom panels are available up to 5' x 24' (1.5m x 7.3m).
Bearing Bars
Bearing bars are 1.5" (38mm) high, located at 1.5" center-to-center
spacing. Cross bars are spaced 6" (160mm). Other spacing available.
1.1 This specification covers the requirements for Enduro Composite System's non-metallic pultruded grating.
2.0 Standards
2.1 All grating shall have a flame spread rating of 25 or less, and the
smoke developed shall have a density of 450 or less when tested in accordance
with the provisions of ASTM E84; therefore qualifying as a Class 1 material
in the uniform building code.
2.2 All grating shall
have a polyester surface veil in addition to a UV inhibitor in the resin
system to protect against degradation from ultra-violet light.
3.0 Materials
3.1 All grating shall be manufactured by the pultrusion process. Load
bars shall contain a minimum of 60% glass by weight, and spacing and locking
bars shall contain a minimum of 58% glass by weight.
3.2 All grating shall be 11/2" deep with load bars spaced 11/2" on centers thereby creating an open area of 60%.
3.3 All grating shall conform, as a minimum requirement, to loads and deflections shown (in the table on page 10).
4.0 Fasteners
All fasteners shall
be 316 stainless steel.
