TUFF SPAN® FIBERGLASS-REINFORCED PLASTIC (FRP) BUILDING
PRODUCTS are
designed to provide maintenance-free long service life in corrosive
industrial environments. They will meet stringent weather, corrosion,
and fire resistance requirements.
Engineered
resins give the products a high resistance to attack from
acids, alkalis, solvents, and 100% humidity. Proprietary glass
reinforcements give them exceptional strength and stiffness.
These components combine to make composite products that are
not only light in weight but are also exceptionally strong
and stiff.
Tuff
Span FRP Roofing and Siding Panels match various traditional
metal profiles and cement asbestos panel profiles (such as
4.2 corrugated and Trafford Tile). They are available in various
colors with opaque and translucent options (for natural light
transmission).
Tuff Span cladding panels are recognized fire retardent products.

Span Series FM cladding panels in some profiles have received
FM I-60 and I-90 Approvals
In addition
to cladding, Tuff Span panels are used as lagging for tanks
and precipitator, and as casing panels for cooling towers.
Tuff Span
FRP Roof Decks are engineered to support both built-up and
single ply roofs without creep and loss of strength during
their intended life cycle. You can use them as one-to-one
replacement materials for asbestos T-Decks, concrete channel
slabs, and steel decks. These decks are similar in depth and
profile to conventional metal decks.
Tuff Span
roof decks are as corrosion resistant as Tuff Span panels.
Unlike other roof deck materials, they will not rot, spall,
flake, peel, or rust. They form a barrier to corrosion at
the base of your roof system.
In replacement
applications the lighter FRP deck units will relieve stress
on structural supports. And Tuff Span deck units may be used
as permanent form decks for concrete slabs.
These
decks have a Class II Listing from Factory Mutual for use
in sprinklered applications.
Tuff Span
Environmental Cover Systems can seal or shelter your waste
treatment process, such as clarifiers, tanks, ponds, composters,

Tuff Span
Structural Members are one-to-one replacements for corroded
steel girts and purlins. These inherently stable members do
not require bracing.
Other
Tuff Span FRP Building Products include structural beams,
gutters, louvers, and ridge vents.
