Factory Mutual (FM) Series panel wind uplift classifications and deck listings are based upon full scale testing on full-scale testing on assemblies performed at the Factory Mutual Research Center. A roofing assembly with Tuff Span 6.5 deck has obtained Factory Mutual Approval for Class I fire and Class I-90 windstorm classifi cations. Contact us for details. Tuff Span roof decks are Factory Mutual Listed as Class II decks subject to the conditionsdescribed in FM Report J.I. OTOA9.AM. |

Tuff Span FRP materials are fire retardant and demonstrate a Class 1 Flame Rating of 25 or less when tested per ASTM E-84. This test method relates the rate that flame spreads across a material’s surface. The rating is based on a scale of 0 to 100 with asbestos cement board as 0 and medium grade oak flooring as 100. Per ASTM E-84, Tuff Span 500 and 700 series roof deck have a Class 1 flame spread rating and >450 smoke development. |
