Tuff Span FRP materials are fire retardant and demonstrate a Class 1 Flame Rating of 25 or less when tested per ASTM E-84. This test method relates the rate that flame spreads across a material’s surface. The rating is based on a scale of 0 to 100 with asbestos cement board as 0 and medium grade oak flooring as 100. Based on Factory Mutual’s Corner Test Procedure, Tuff Span Series FM panels meet FM Standard 4880 approval requirements. Factory Mutual has approved these materials for unrestricted use as building cladding, and they do not require automatic sprinkler protection. |
