High Capacity Carbon
Description
High Capacity carbon is an approximate 4 mm, pelletized carbon made from selected grades of high quality bituminous coal or coconut shell carbon, activated under rigid process control conditions to yield a strong, dense, very active product designed for vapor phase odor control application. This product is double screened and dedusted in process and prior to packaging to assure a clean, hard, dust free product having a long service life. Its best performance is reached when some oxygen and water is present in the airstream.

Pressure Drop
The pressure drop is low; at 50 ft./min., the pressure drop is approx. 1.4"/bed ft. and at 70 FPM it is approx. 2.8"/bed ft.
CAUTION: WET ACTIVATED CARBON DEPLETES OXYGEN FROM AIR.
Whenever workers enter a vessel containing carbon, all precautions must be taken since dangerously low levels of oxygen may be encountered. Atmosphere sampling and work procedures for potentially low oxygen areas should be followed.
