Virgin Coconut Shell Carbon
Description
The Coconut Shell Carbon series is made from select grades of high quality coconut shell, activated under rigid process control conditions by high temperature steam activation to yield a strong, dense, very active product designed for vapor phase application. This product provides high surface area, fine pore structure, high density, high volume activity and ease of regeneration. This carbon has a uniform absorbent profile with well-developed pore structure, allowing for a wide range of absorbate retention.

For 4 x 10 mesh, the pressure drop is low; at 50 ft./min., the pressure drop is 1.4"/ft. and at 70 FPM it is 1.8"/ft.
CAUTION: WET ACTIVATED CARBON DEPLETES OXYGEN FROM AIR.
Whenever workers enter a vessel containing carbon, all precautions must be taken since dangerously low levels of oxygen may be encountered. Atmosphere sampling and work procedures for potentially low oxygen areas should be followed.
