4. Materials shall be fire retardant with:
_____ UL Class 1 Flame Spread Rating (25 or less per ASTM E-84).
_____ FM Approval per Standard 4880
5. Panel materials shall be protected from UV rays by:
_____ UV stabilized resin system with neopentyl glycol and acrylic monomer.
_____ UV acrylic polymer coating protection, factory-applied with minimum .4 mil dry film thickness.
_____ Surfacing mat or veil.
_____ Embossed resin-rich surface.
6. Finish shall be embossed top, smooth bottom.
7. Color shall be Enduro standard or as selected by owner.

2. EPDM closures shall match unit profile.
3. Sealant for translucent panels shall be Silglaze II SCS 2800, Translucent Color by GE Silicon.
Part 3 - Execution
3.01 Handling and Storage
A. Material Handling
Protect surface of FRP panels from cuts, gouges, abrasions, and impacts. Use spreader bars when lifting FRP. Do not use wire slings unless panels are protected.
B. Storage
Protect bundled panels against standing water on top of and between sheets. Keep bundled panels under cover (but ventilated) and dry. Keep bundled panels off the ground for air circulation and with one end elevated to permit water drainage.
3.02 Installation of FRP Panels
A. Installer must follow Manufacturer’s Installation Instructions and Layout Drawings.
1. For each Type A or B stainless steel self-tapping screw, a pilot hole must be drilled through the panel and structural support. For each SB2 Grommet fastener used for side lap and flashing attachment, a pilot hole is required through the panels or flashing.
a. For drilling pilot holes use a sharp carbide-tipped sheeter’s bit and a drill speed of 500 RPM or less to avoid thread rolling.
b. For the correct Drill Bit size refer to the Drill Bit Selection Chart in the Installation Instructions.
Pilot holes are not required for self-drilling stainless steel screws, which are suitable for fastening panels to steel supports with thickness of 14 gage to ¼” (6 mm).
2. End laps shall be 6 inches minimum for roofing panels and 4 inches minimum for siding panels.
