3D DESIGNER II

Enduro Composites, a world-class manufacturer of engineered fiberglass composites (FRP) products and solutions has an exciting career opportunity for a 3D Designer II to provide model-centric 3D drafting and design services for the Water & Wastewater (W&WW), Building, and Electrical/Cable Products manufactured at our Houston facility. Essential Job Responsibilities:

CAD Administration:

Maintain content center of standard parts (e.g., beams, angles, panels, clip angles, beam seats, baseplates, hinges, fasteners)

Maintain drawing templates for submittal drawings and part drawings

 

Submittal Package Generation:

 

Generate Inventor® and PDF copies of submittal drawings for our W&WW projects; review returned comments from customers and submit revised submittal packages when necessary; review technical requirements with our engineers; assist Project Managers with any scope of work changes.

Generate model-centric part drawings to provide manufacturing with the necessary information to complete any fabrication work on approved submittal packages; generate drawings and details required for mold/plug generation of our Clarifier products.

 

Product Support:

 

Generate 3D product details for use in internal specifications, installation documents, and product catalogs.

Generate 3D details for use in our IOM (installation, operation, and maintenance) manuals.

HSE:

Adhere to policies and procedures; contribute to a positive environment for yourself and coworkers; participate in HSE activities when necessary.

Quality Control:

Participate in quality activities when necessary; be cognizant of our quality measures and your contribution to Enduro’s overall performance.

Span of Communication:    

Internal: Mostly with our Project Managers, Materials Engineer, Structural Engineer, Engineering Director, and with our other Designers. Some interaction will also be necessary with other functional groups (manufacturing, purchasing, IT, sales).

External: Some interaction with customers will be necessary during the submittal process; most external interactions can be handled internally via our Project Manager

Education, Job Knowledge, and Skills:

Knowledge of Inventor® including concepts such as parametric, iLogic, constraints and joints, Vault, iParts, and Content Center. Skilled in 3D modeling tools and creating views/sections/details from the 3D model.

Knowledge of other concepts such as Frame Generator is a plus, but not required.

Able to read plan and elevation views of drawings as well as isometric views. Able to generate isometric, plan, elevation, and section views of our W&WW products (cover systems, baffle walls, density current baffles, launder covers, launder troughs) in Inventor®.
